Day 1 International flight – Réunion Island

Arrival in Reunion island – pick up of your rental car.
Dinner and overnight in hotel Villa Angélique in Saint-Denis.

Day 2 Saint Pierre
Breakfast at your hotel – road to the Cirque of Salazie – discovery of the Wild South

Departure early after breakfast.

You head towards the East Coast, region of sugar cane, bamboo. In
Saint André, stop in front of a Hindu temple, then direction the circus of Salazie.

Salazie is the largest and greenest of the three circuses of the island: water gushes out in multiple waterfalls, streams from all the peaks and ramparts and the vegetation covers its walls: bamboo, chouchous, watercress, dreams and banana trees abound.

Stop at the waterfall of the «Veil of the Bride» whose long and thin waterfalls evokes the vaporous tulle of a bridal veil.

You will arrive at the village of Hell-Bourg, located at 1000 meters above sea level, and you will discover during a walk, its magnificent houses with Creole architecture including some dates of the second half of the nineteenth century. He received the label, Plus beau village de France.

In the afternoon, return to the coast and visit the vanilleraie of the Domaine du Grand Hazier. The preparation of vanilla pods is long and delicate, it takes about 2 years from the pollination of flowers to the sale of pods. You will be carried away by the tasty and enticing scent of vanilla!

Road to Saint-Pierre (1h45 to 2h drive) at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight at La Villa Delisle hotel in Saint-Pierre.

Day 3 Saint Pierre

Discovery of the volcano of Piton de La Fournaise and its surroundings.
After an early breakfast, drive to the Plaine des Cafres and the forest road that leads to the Piton de la Fournaise. Many stops at unforgettable viewpoints: the Nez de Boeuf (with its panoramic view of the Rivière des Remparts), the Commerson Crater, the mythical Plaine des Sables and its lunar landscapes, the Pas de Bellecombe at the foot of the massif, real balcony on the enclosure of the volcano.

Museum visit: The distillery museum of La Saga du Rhum.

Day 4 Cilaos

Breakfast at your hotel – drive to Cilaos
At the exit of Saint-Louis, go up the only road – with 400 bends – which leads to the circus of Cilaos, in the heart of the island, protected by the highest peaks and dominated by the sleeping volcano of Piton des Neiges (3.070m).

From Cilaos, treat yourself to a walk to the viewpoint of the Roche Merveilleuse, a trip on the beautiful road from Ilet to Cordes or a visit to the old thermal baths.

Day 5 Saint Gilles

Breakfast at your hotel – road to Saint-Gilles

Departure for a 3-hour catamaran cruise.
For the group, let yourself go along the water and discover the coasts of our intense island by observing cetaceans. Let our team introduce you to sailing and sailing techniques. Luxury and pleasure perfectly define this cruise. Selection of bubbles & cocktails, cold and hot drinks served at will. Snack on board, according to departure times: Pastries and fresh pineapple or Creole aperitif, fresh pineapple and sweets.

Day 6 Saint Gilles

Breakfast at your hotel
Morning departure to discover from the Piton Maïdo the superb panorama of the circus of Mafate, accessible only on foot or by helicopter.Visits on the way back: the house of geranium, the Domaine créole de Villèle in Saint-Gilles-les-Hauts (houses and gardens), the Jardin d’Éden in l’Ermitage-les-Bains, the fairground market of Saint-Paul (on Fridays).

Day 7 St Gilles – Saint Denis – flight to Nosybe Madagascar
Breakfast at your hotel.
Back to Saint Denis, you can visit the city of St Denis if your flight schedule to Madagascar allows you.
Transfer to the airport for flight Nosybe Madagascar.

Arrival at Nosybe.

Welcome to the airport and the tour begins with the city tour of Nosybe
Dinner and overnight at the hotel Vanila, garden side.

Day 8 Lokobe Reserve
You’ll embark on a traditional boat along the mangroves to access the reserve.
Lokobe is the last primary forest of Nosy Be, with numerous medicinal and endemic plants, as well as its millennial trees.Beyond that, it also has a rich fauna: lemurs (Macaco and Lepilemurs), snakes, chameleons, insects and tropical birds.
Return to Nosybe.

Day 9 Nosy Iranja

One of the ten most beautiful islands in the world, Nosy Iranja is one hour and a half from Nosy Be by speed boat. The island is made up of two small islands (Small Iranja and Great Iranja) connected by a a white sandbank that is visible at low tide. With its turquoise waters, the island has a genuine paradise feel to it. It is home to sea turtles, who come there to lay egg, hence its nickname as the turtle island. Nosy Iranja has also a large share of seabirds: sterns, marine eagles…

You can also visit the Great Iranja Island’s lighthouse and the Iranja village after your picnic lunch on the beach, under the shades of coconut trees.

Return to Nosybe.

Day 10 Nosy Komba & Nosy Tanikely

You will embark on a speed boat to enjoy the two island near Nosybe.
Nosy Komba is the second biggest island of the area behind Nosy Be. It’s a traditional fishermen’s village with a handicraft market, where one can shop for sculptures and
traditional table clothes, decorations and embroidery sewn by the women of the village.
Nosy Komba is home to many lemurs which are considered sacred and protected from hunters. Nosy Komba also hosts magnificent beaches ideal for sunbathing.

Continue to Nosy Tanikely, a protected marine nature reserve.You will be given the snorkelling equipment needed to discover the magnificent show of corals and anemones, the myriad of multi-coloured fish, shellfish, grouper, moray eels and
turtles.

Return to Nosybe
